Shipping Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

  1. Orders of in-stock merchandise will typically ship within two business days if the order is placed before noon Central time. If the order is placed after noon Central time the order typically ships within three business days.  Petmate will strive to have your order to you according to your chosen shipping method, but issues may arise that can delay delivery.
  2. On each order, you will have these shipping methods available and will be charged accordingly: (All options do not include Saturday and Sunday)
    1. Ground: 5 to 7 Business Days
    2. Second Day Air: 2 Business Days
    3. Standard Overnight: 1 Business Day
  3. Petmate will offer free shipping on certain items on a promotional basis. All orders that qualify for free shipping will be sent via Ground. You will have the option to upgrade to a premium shipping option (overnight or 2-day), but you will be responsible for all applicable upgraded shipping fees.
  4. Orders are available to ship within the 48 Contiguous United States.
    1. Orders are not available to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, or outside of the United States, including Canada.
    2. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or military addresses.
  5. How we determine shipping rates:
    1. Shipping rates depend on the selected shipping method, location of ship-to address and the weight/size of the items.
    2. To determine the applicable shipping rate for items in your cart, proceed to checkout and enter in your shipping and billing information. The total of your order, including merchandise, shipping and tax, will be shown prior to your final confirmation.
      1. Please note that the order totals during your checkout reflect estimated sales tax. The actual charge to your form of payment will include applicable state and local sales taxes and will be calculated when your order is shipped.
    3. An Oversized Item Fee will be added to shipping costs for large or heavy items and will be noted on the checkout screen if applicable.
  6. Tracking your order:
    1. The tracking number will be sent to the email address you entered at checkout when the order leaves our warehouse. Simply click on the link provided in the email to track your package.
  7. In the unlikely event that a product you have selected is unavailable to ship at the time of purchase that item will be cancelled from your order and you will not be charged for it. You will need to re-order this item when it is back in stock.
    1. If your order is cancelled, you will be notified via email.
    2. Please check Petmate.com frequently to see when we are back in stock on the item, or to find other authorized resellers of that product.
